Drawn iron and steel bars

Drawing is a metalworking process involving metallic materials’ plastic deformation contributing to tolerances’ reduction and the metal’s strain hardening. It is performed through rolled steel cold-drawing with the aim of obtaining products characterised by high dimensional precision and a polished surface finish.

At Carboni Steel, we usually supply our customers in Italy and abroad with cold-drawn (+C) low-carbon steel products. Our drawn steel is obtained from coils or bars available in various sizes, such as in standard lengths of 3, 4, or 6 meters. Upon request, they can also be designed in custom lengths tailored to customer specifications.

Our warehouse stocks a wide variety of drawn bars, including: flat bars (widths from 10 mm to 200 mm and thicknesses up to 40 mm); round iron bars (diameters from 3 mm to 80 mm); c40/c45 ground round bars (diameters from 8 mm to 60 mm); square bars (sizes ranging from 6×6 mm to 100×100 mm). H9 is the standard tolerance for round bars, whereas H7 applies to C45 ground round bars. Flat and square bars comply with the H11 tolerance.
